A psychosocial assessment is a multi-step process that complies with the requirements of the OTSTCFQ and the Curateur public du Québec. Related services include, among other things, reviewing the file, researching information, preparing for meetings, communications, travel (travel time and mileage), collecting information/conducting interviews with the individual undergoing evaluation and their family/social network, producing the psychosocial assessment report and progressive notes, as well as printing and mailing documents.
The assessment ensures that the rights and safety of the vulnerable person are fully protected by an adapted legal regime.
The process adjusts to the specific situation of each family, taking into account the unique needs of the individual undergoing evaluation.
The process ensures that the fundamental rights and expressed wishes of the incapacitated individual are fully honored.
A structured and guided framework provides a sense of security and control for families navigating this difficult stage.
The assessment helps oversee the financial management of the incapacitated person and, if necessary, obtain the legal authorizations required to facilitate transactions such as selling a property or liquidating investments.
